The Saguaro Show is Traveling to Sky Harbor

The Saguaro show, put together by Terry Etherton, is now showing through May at the Temple of Music and Art. A few selected pieces will then be shown at the Tucson Botanical Gardens, and finally, the entire show will move to the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport through to the end of 2010. Wine tasting and tasteful art

Luna Bella and Flux Gallery present wine tasting and tasteful art, Tuesdays, 5 to 7 p.m.

Flux Gallery has joined with Luna Bella to present “wine tasting with tasteful art,” Tuesday evenings at Luna Bella Restaurant. Each Tuesday (until further notice), a Flux artist will feature his or her work at the restaurant. Up tomorrow night is Karen Dombrowski-Sobel. Lynne Yamaguchi will show her work (including some new work—and bottle stoppers for your wine!) May 25, and Lee Roy Beach will present his on June 1. Come sample some new wines and art while you chat with the artist!

Small-works show planned

The artists of Flux are planning a small-works show this summer, to coincide with Grey Dog Trading Company’s annual fetish sale, July 9–10. Stay tuned for the details!

Plaza Palomino concert series

Plaza Palomino is presenting a series of concerts from now until June 18. See the Plaza Palomino web site for the schedule of acts. Flux will be open from 7 to 8 p.m. before each concert.

New summer hours

We have new hours for the summer. We will be open only Wednesday–Friday, 11 a.m.–2 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m.–1 p.m. (Each Saturday, Plaza Palomino has a farmer’s and art market.) You can also see the gallery by appointment; just contact any artist directly.
