Small-works show at Flux Gallery, December 10 and 11

Flux Gallery will feature small works for sale on Friday and Saturday, December 10 and 11, 2010, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., in conjunction with Grey Dog Trading Company’s annual winter Zuni fetish show. Customers who present a same-day receipt from Grey Dog will receive a 10% discount on the small works at Flux, or Flux customers can present a same-day receipt from Flux at Grey Dog to receive a 10% discount on their fetishes.

In addition to the small works by member artists Carol Ann, Lee Roy Beach, Peter Eisner, Maurice Sevigny, Shirley Wagner, and Lynne Yamaguchi, we will also have work by incoming Flux member Katherine Minott, a photographer with a love of color and texture. Katherine won’t officially be joining Flux until January, but this show will give visitors a preview of what is to come.

Join us next weekend, and give your loved ones the gift of beauty this season. For further information, please contact us (520-299-5983) or Grey Dog (520-881-6888) directly.

Friday and Saturday, July 9 and 10, Flux Gallery will present small works (less than 12 inches square) by Carol Ann, Karen Dombrowski-Sobel, Lee Roy Beach, Lynne Yamaguchi, Maurice Sevigny, and Shirley Wagner. We will be open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.

This show will coincide with the annual summer Zuni fetish show at Grey Dog Trading Company, just a few doors west of us in Plaza Palomino. Tucson Symphony Orchestra/Flux Gallery Event a Huge Success

Monday, April 19th, 2010

"Starry Starry Night" by Carol Ann

Many who attended the April 2nd Tucson Symphony Orchestra/Flux Gallery benefit said it was one of the best Tucson gallery events they had seen. The performance by Sasha Lipay, principal flutist with the Tucson Symphony Orchestra, was met with rave reviews. TSO Musical Director George Hanson said some profound and inspiring words about Tucson’s art scene. A lot of beautiful art was sold, including seven pieces by feature artist Carol Ann. Flux Gallery artists contributed 30% of art sold to the TSO, and more than $2,500 was raised to benefit the Tucson Symphony Orchestra. “Let’s do it again next season!” was a common refrain.

Photos from our first opening

Friday, November 20th, 2009

The opening was quite a success. Though we don’t know the actual number, the turnout was outstanding, and sometimes so crowded that some of the visitors had to leave and come back. The sales were good, as well. What a wonderful start. [Photos of the event are no longer available.]
