The Big Brothers Big Sisters Southwest Flair A-Fair is coming soon to Plaza Palomino, November 5 to 7 (Friday–Sunday), 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. It’s an excellent chance to get started on your holiday shopping while supporting a terrific cause—and a chance to catch up on the current work at Flux. In addition, Flux artist and woodturner Lynne Yamaguchi will have a booth, number 88, in the east parking lot, close to La Placita Cafe.

Plaza Palomino is hosting a new concert series for the fall, with an exciting and diverse lineup. The artists include Rosie Flores, the Rhythm Room All Stars, John Coinman, the Nighthawks, Christine Lavin, It’s a Beautiful Day, the Texas Tornados, Strunz & Farah, the QTango Orchestra, the Boulder Acoustic Society, and New Riders of the Purple Sage. In addition, the Pete Swan Trio will be playing jazz on Fridays, 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., at Luna Bella, without a cover charge. The artists of Flux are planning a small-works show this summer, to coincide with Grey Dog Trading Company’s annual fetish sale, July 9–10. Stay tuned for the details!
